My Background
 I am passionate about writing. With a background of classroom teaching starting with 15 years of private high school writing classes and followed by 8 years of public college freshmen speech and writing classes, I understand the skills that high school students need for college prep and the tools that college students need for writing on a college level.
In addition to my years of teaching, I have been tutoring all along the way. It started with tutoring children in Latin and English phonics and grammar many years ago and tutoring English with a group of Hispanic women in my home weekly for 3 years. I eventually became a certified English tutor and a certified TESOL/TESL/TEFL teacher and tutor.
Eventually at the Kokomo Writing Center, I tutored American and international college students in the IU Kokomo Writing Center for 3 years. A few years later, I became the Coordinator of International Student Services, tutoring and conducting workshops for our international students to help them become more familiar with American conversational English.
In 2022-2023, I became a tutor for Varsity Tutors, an online tutoring platform—teaching high school and college students, adults in business who wanted to improve their writing, and ESL adults.
I am currently working on a seminary degree: Master of Arts in Bible and Theology.
